DESKTOP PUBLISHING - PHOTO MANUAL PROJECT
During this short skills unit, you will work with Adobe InDesign to produce a multi-page "manual" that showcases the photos you produced during the digital photography unit. In other words, this manual serves as a double project, covering both photography and desktop publishing -- photos will be completed in the next rotation.
To see a sample of the type of manual you're going to produce, CLICK HERE! For student examples, check-out the "Exemplar" page.
The manual you will produce is essentially a "how-to" guide for other students learning how to operate our digital cameras. It will cover the following areas:
Your instructor will cover some of the important basic skills for using Publisher during class. You are also strongly recommended to use the HELP menu or online tutorials to assist with further learning as needed. You only have 4-5 classes to complete this challenge, so you'll need to use class time VERY wisely.
ONLINE TRAINING TUTORIAL AVAILABLE HERE!

You will need to format the text to fit your document design and add text styles for headings, captions, etc. as required. Your instructor will go over how to use styles in class. Most of the text provided was lifted directly from Nikon manuals or the sample photo manual (link above).
NOTE - you may have to add your own descriptive text for your picture captions. All pictures must have captions included.
